Take a ceramics class with an exhibiting artist from the August show!!!
This is a basic level introduction to working with clay. Instructor, Zan Truman will introduce students to hand building with stoneware clay, using the pinch and coil methods to form small tea bowls. The class will be two parts: Day one will focus on learning a little about clay and the tools we use. It will also be structured around getting comfortable with the medium and perhaps beginning to form your Tea Bowls. Day two will focus on making Tea Bowls, adding texture, stamping, using various methods to design your own dynamic bowl, and painting with underglazes. The Tea Bowls will be fired for you and you may pick them up as early as two weeks after the class.
This two day class is only $25 with a $15 materials fee.
