"I just love how this workshop lets you be yourself."
- Green Windows workshop participant
This workshop will develop your natural writing talents and the writer's voice that is unique to you. You have your own experiences, culture and personality that can feed rich writing only you can produce.
Sandra Cisneros wrote in the introduction to her book The House on Mango Street that when she discovered the voice that was her own she was then able to talk and sound like herself:
"Then I could speak, shout, laugh from a place that was uniquely mine, that was no one else's in the history of the universe, that would never be anyone else's, ever."
In this workshop you will generate great writing from the place that is uniquely yours.
This workshop is for writers of all levels, experiences and genres. It is perfect for the just-beginning writer as well as practiced writers who need a new spark, want to take new risks, or seek community.
Young adults 16 years old and older are welcome.
Drop-ins are welcome.
Long-term commitment is encouraged.
This workshop will be held every fourth Sunday!
Suggested class fee: $1-$25, sliding scale, with additional donations welcome.
